sho ni shin

Sho Ni Shin is a specialized Oriental paediatric treatment for infants and children. Sho Ni Shin techniques are safe, gentle and non-invasive and are easily tolerated by children of all ages. They involve rhythmic stroking, rubbing, tapping, and pressing of the skin, using a variety of blunt instruments. These techniques produce different kinds of gentle stimulation which release pathogens, harmonize and fortify the child’s vital energy, and strengthen the child’s constitution.

Children’s bio-energetic systems are not fully formed and, being at the most ‘yang’ phase of their existence, their energy (Qi) moves extremely rapidly. Consequently, children’s systems can be easily over-stimulated, and health problems can progress rapidly.

Sho Ni Shin is very effective in regulating and maintaining health and improving growth and development. Children quickly respond to treatment, which can also be augmented with Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Sho Ni Shin is suitable for children between 0-12 years of age, and typically go for 15-20 minutes.

Sho Ni Shin is used to treat a wide variety of conditions, including:

• colic • indigestion
• constipation • diarrhea
• colds & fevers • ear infections
• eczema & hives • asthma
• night terrors • bedwetting
• weak constitution • failure to thrive syndrome
• temper tantrums • & more
