Jacinta has studied Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at the 'Perth Academy of Natural Therapies' where she graduated in 2005 with a Advanced Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Upon completion of her studies she travelled to China to further her clinical experience and consolidated her training with an internship at the Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She enjoyed the privilege to work under some of the most respected TCM practitioners in Southern China and was awarded a Certificate of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Jacinta is a member of the Australian Natural Therapies Association (ANTA).

Since early childhood Jacinta had a desire to become a nurse. An innate ability to pick up people’s discomforts, and her spontaneous massages to try and help, earned her the nickname ‘Magic Fingers’ from family and friends. Jacinta followed her childhood dream and graduated from Curtin University of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse mainly in the area of pediatrics for over 15 years in Australia and the UK.

After many years of working in the allopathic health field, Jacinta recognized the need for a holistic approach to healing which encompasses the body, mind and spirit. This led her to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. Jacinta is passionate about her practice and working with people, and takes great interest in empowering her patients through conveying an understanding about their state of imbalance and in so doing fostering an attitude of self-responsibilty and renewed trust into the body's intrinsic ability to return to a state of balance and good health.
